Problem

Enterprise video surveillance is an infrastructure problem before it is a camera problem. A serious estate means high-capacity storage servers ingesting video around the clock, retention math that has to hold, networks that carry it all without choking, and, for global organizations, recording infrastructure at every site on earth that has to stay consistent and communicating. Then the industry moved again: cameras stopped being dumb sensors and became AI compute at the edge.

Approach

At ATS I provision and configure the server side of these systems: high-capacity video-recording storage servers, VMS platform installs, and the integrations behind them, working directly with each client’s IT department so the security estate fits their network, storage, and policies instead of fighting them. For one Fortune 500 client that means a Milestone recording server at every site worldwide, from Louisville to Tokyo and Milan, all part of one estate that has to behave as a single system.

The AI camera side is the fastest-moving part of the job. I deploy and program analytics-capable cameras with AI-driven detection and alerting: cameras that classify what they see and feed events into the VMS, so operators respond to incidents instead of scrubbing hours of footage.

Result

Recording infrastructure that holds up at global scale, and camera systems that do the watching themselves. This is where physical security stops being door controllers and becomes real infrastructure engineering: servers, storage, networking, and AI at the edge, all run as production.
